Born and raised in Oakville, Bill Russell went on to study painting and illustration at Parsons School of Design in 1976. After a long career as an illustrator, Bill is focusing on his fine art. He has exhibited his paintings widely in group and solo shows. His paintings can be found in private collections in Canada and the U.S. He was an adjunct professor of illustration at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Bill lives in Marin County, California with his wife and son. He is represented by Reactor Art and Design, Toronto.
