Janine paints using oil in a contemporary style of impressionistic realism. She works mostly with a palette knife giving much texture to the finished product. Each painting is under painted in a variety of colours designed to complement or contrast with the final coat of paint. The knife keeps the paintings loose and allows the colours to flow easily. A very limited colour palette is used for each painting.
